Grasspoint on Mull – Yashicamat 124G

I last visited Grasspoint in about 1983, when I was supposed to be walking the West Highland Way but wimped out due to pain in my knee. I made my way to Oban and wanted to visit Mull, but found that the Calmac ferries were on strike.

A notice on the pier advertised a pleasure boat trip to Grasspoint, so I took up the offer. I remember being fascinated by the location; Grasspoint consisting of two houses accessible either by boat or a long single-track road from near Craignure.

I always wanted to go back some day and that day arrived as part of my week-long holiday on Mull, this time arriving by road rather than sea.
