Dying Dahlias

I wanted to develop a roll of 35mm Ilford FP4+ which had just a few shots left so I interceded to postpone these dying dahlias from being thrown out. I took them into the garage, switched off the strip light and used an anglepoise lamp to illuminate the flowers.

Olympus OM1; Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 90mm f2.5 lens, Ilford FP4+ developed in Kodak HC-110.

  1. Amazing! The black/grey tangled parts are great. I filled the screen with the lower right hand part of the flower. Very grotesque and a bit William Blake-ish. An image in itself.
