I was walking through Stanhope Dene in County Durham when I was a path branching off to the left and decided to investigate. I was surprised to find an iron door driven into a rock face. My first thought was that this was a door to a hobbit’s house .. but in fact it’s the entrance to a mine.

Not round enough for a hobbit’s door! 😉
I’m so curious about this shot and thinking behind it. I like the framing quite a bit and long exposure gives everything a dreamy appearance. As for the aperture I’m a little perplexed as to F32 other than to get the shutter speed down enough to make a long exposure work. Would love some more detail on your process.
Thanks,
Tobias
